Climate change is one of the most critical global challenges of our time.It has become a very serious issue world over.Recent events have emphatically demonstrated our growing vulnerability to climate change.Climate change impacts will range from affecting agriculture-further jeoparadising food security,sea level rise and the accelerated erosion of costal zones,increasing intesity of natural disasters,species extinction and spread of vectore-borne diseases.
Climate change is defined as the change in climate attributed directly or indirectly to human activities that alter the composition of global atmosphere and which is in addition to the natural varaiability obsereved over comparable time periods.
The greatest contributor to global warming and climate change has been the humans.Burning fossil fuels and other developemtal activities now occur on a scale that has started meddling with natural systems such as global climate.Now it is our responsibility to take remedial mesaures of the menance of global warming.Efforts need to be taken to provide accurate and accessible messages on climate change to targeted audiences i.e. industry,youth,society etc. to make them aware of the climate change implications with the objective to motivate them to take relevant climate friendly actions,and raise awareness of general public on climate change problems.Climate change related action cannot be taken by government,business,civil society or research organisation working in isolation.It is pertinent that all organisations work in tandem to tackle the menance.
